Why SEEDABLE?
The SEEDABLE approach to learning develops students’ competencies in the areas of sustainability, enterprise, equality and diversity to enable them to tackle local and global challenges. Â
Â
Doing this involves designing and developing a range of active and blended assessment approaches that are accessible, non-discriminatory, and timely as well as curriculum content under the themes of sustainability, enterprise, equality and diversity. It also creates opportunities for students to work interactively in and with diverse groups and to develop micro-projects as an integral part of their study programme. Â
A key goal of SEEDABLE is to uncover the sustainability actions required to support long-term environmenta, social and economic change.
How do we incorporate SEEDABLE into the curriculum?
The SEEDABLE curriculum requires programme teams to design and develop a range of key learning approaches across all campuses. This includes active and blended learning, featuring a mixture of locations, technologies and active learning strategies. The project also includes a guided personal and professional development plan for each student and a live or simulated work experience element per programme.Â
