The University of Glasgow Postgraduate Taught programmes

  • Eligible taught postgraduate awards for the 15% discount in fees are:
    • Agricultural Professional Practice (online)
    • Wildlife and Conservation Management (online)
    • Organic Farming (online)
    • MSc Animal Nutrition (online)
  • There is no time limit within which the previous study took place
  • Students will normally be a graduate of the general or Honours Degree. However, SRUC has a contextual admissions approach when considering an applicant’s suitability for a programme. Relevant experiential learning and other professional/vocational qualifications are valued and exceptionally, and at the discretion of the Admissions Tutor for the award, applicants with HND/C will be accepted onto Postgraduate awards. Therefore, HND/C graduates from the former SAC, the East/North/West Colleges of Agriculture, and the Barony, Elmwood and Oatridge Colleges are eligible if accepted onto a Postgraduate award
  • This Alumni Benefit is available for new students enrolling on their award for the coming academic year
  • The awarding of this Alumni Benefit is at the discretion of SRUC and may be altered or withdrawn for new students at any time

 

The University of Edinburgh Postgraduate Taught programmes

Eligible students will:

  • have graduated, or be expecting to graduate, with an Honours degree delivered through SRUC, and awarded by either the University of Glasgow or The University of Edinburgh, within five years prior to the commencement of the PGT programme
  • have been accepted for admission to one of the following MSc programmes:
    • Applied Animal Behaviour and Animal Welfare
    • Applied Poultry Science (Online)
    • Ecological Economics
    • Environmental Protection and Management
    • Food Security
    • International Animal Welfare, Ethics and Law (online)
    • Soils and Sustainability
    • Sustainable Plant Health
    • Veterinary Epidemiology (online)
  • have been offered a place for the next academic session
  • have firmly accepted that offer, or be intending to do so
