Dairy projects
We continue to conduct studies of nutrition and milk quality, as well as evaluations of precision farming technologies for both industry and public bodies.
Digital dairy project
The Digital Dairy Chain project will develop a world-class business innovation and research platform to optimise and decarbonise dairy manufacturing. It will facilitate a skills pipeline and encourage new, value-added product development.
Led by SRUC, a consortium of research, commercial and civic partners will work together to digitalise and integrate the whole dairy value chain. The project is supported by a £21 million investment from the UKRI’s Strength in Places Fund and aims to create 600 new jobs.
